CANARY Software Webinar

CANARY (Cellular Analysis and Notification of Antigen Risks and Yields) is a comprehensive monitoring system that can detect and identify real time biothreats from a broad range of pathogens and toxins.  CANARY event detection software evaluates standard water quality data (e.g., free chlorine, pH, total organic carbon) over time and uses mathematical and statistical techniques to identify the onset of anomalous water quality incidents.  The software can help detect a wide variety of chemical and biological contaminants, including pesticides, metals, and pathogens.

EPA’s Homeland Security Research Center is hosting an instructional Webinar on the CANARY event detection software on September 22, 2010 from 1:00 – 2:30pm (eastern).  To register please call Dr. Terra Haxton at 513-569-7810.  For more information, please go to: http://www.epa.gov/nhsrc/news/news122007.html.  The software is also available as a free download at: https://software.sandia.gov/trac/canary.
