OCTOBER 3:  Advanced Cyber Defense Webcast: Improve Your Incident Response and Breach Readiness  RSA and the Financial Services ISAC are hosting a free webcast focused on incident response and breach readiness. Too many cyber threats go undetected, and, according to a recent study, over 90 percent are discovered by a third party. During the event you will learn how to:

  • Prepare for, discover, and respond to active attacks and critical incidents
  • Develop a methodical and repeatable approach
  • Minimize risk and lower the business impact of incidents
  • Create solutions for your organization’s unique environment, security capabilities, and risk tolerances

The webcast will be held at 1 PM Eastern Time on October 3. To register click here.

OCTOBER 4:  Water Sector Emergency Management Coordination: An Australian Exercise Case Study WaterISAC is hosting a webcast that will present the lessons learned from a recent collaborative training and exercise event conducted earlier this summer in Australia. Five water corporations jointly participated in a two-day course, which included training to develop emergency management skills for potential water sector emergencies followed by a full-scale exercise to put their new training and skills to the test.

The webcast will feature Peter Rees from Gippsland Water, David Parsons from Sydney Water, and Helen Foster from Baron Water who will provide lessons learned from this event and articulate the importance of regular training and cooperation to manage major emergency situations.

Following the event, WaterISAC will provide materials to assist with the CEU/PDH application process. Attendees are responsible for submitting their own application to their respective states.

The webcast will be held at 4 PM Eastern Time on Thursday, October 4. To register, visit www.waterisac.org/events or click here.
