Webinar on Effective Disaster Response Collaboration

The National Council on Science and the Environment, through the Security and Sustainability Forum, is hosting a free webinar on December 13.  Effective disaster response requires concerted efforts by government at all jurisdictional levels, coordinating with a network of nongovernmental organizations. Included is the Red Cross, faith-based and volunteer organizations and business, among others.

How does this network get established; how does it execute; and how does it engage with communities in disaster planning, preparedness and local sustainability programs?   This web event will convene practitioners from FEMA, the American Red Cross, the UPS Foundation, the Coca-Cola Company, and others to discuss the disaster response network, present case studies, and share experiences and lessons learned.
