EPA WSD to Host Preparedness Resources Webinar

Mark your calendars for May 11.  That’s when EPA’s Water Security Division will be hosting a one hour webinar on Preparedness Resources for Water Utilities that will showcase new, free tools and resources.

The webinar will showcase these four new guides and toolkits:

Drought Response and Recovery Guide for Water Utilities – This guide provides water utilities with best practices, worksheets, and videos that outline key emergency preparedness and response actions to improve drought resilience.

Hazard Mitigation for Natural Disasters – This starter guide will help water and wastewater utilities develop and implement mitigation projects for a variety of natural disasters including drought, flood, earthquake, wildfire, tornado, and power outage.

Water Quality SRS Exercise Development Toolbox – Water utilities can use this interactive, self-guided program to develop discussion-based and operations-based exercises.

Analytical Preparedness Full-Scale Exercise Toolkit – This toolkit provides documentation, templates, and examples to assist organizations in planning and conducting exercises to prepare for a water contamination event.
